Anna Hedvig Büll
. Estonian-born German missionary. Miss Büll was a Lutheran missionary to the Armenian people during the last years of the Ottoman Empire, and helped to save about 2,000 women and children from the Armenian genocide during World War I. She worked with Armenians for about 40 years, and became a refugee herself after her native Estonia was occupied by the Soviet Union and she was denied permission to return. Miss Büll worked in France, Switzerland, and finally West Germany, where she died on October 3, 1981 at the age of 94.

. Swedish-born model. Mrs. Fonssagrives was an aspiring ballerina who moved to Paris in 1936 and became a fashion model. She moved to the United States in 1939, and continued to appear on magazine covers through the 1950s, earning recognition as the world's first supermodel. Mrs. Fonssagrives died in New York.

George Nader, 80
. U.S. actor. Mr. Nader appeared in plays, films, and television programs from the early 1950s through the mid-'70s. He starred in the television adventure series The Man and the Challenge (1959-1960), but was probably best known for playing the male romantic lead in the movie Robot Monster (1953). He died after a period of declining health.
