Henry Adams
. U.S. writer. Mr. Adams, the great-grandson of U.S. President John Adams and grandson of President John Quincy Adams, was best known for his nine-volume History of the United States During the Administrations of Thomas Jefferson and James Madison (1889-1891) and his autobiography The Education of Henry Adams (1907). He died on March 27, 1918 at the age of 80.
